Holmberg Hall was built in 1918 as part of the Universities original campus and is one of the Universities key educational and community facilities for the fine arts. The project includes; · Renovation of 750 seat Holmberg Hall, practice wing, and a new facility for the School of Dance. · New acoustical features were added in the performance theatre. · The 750-seat performance theatre is restored with an eye to its original design, including replication of the original domed ceiling. · Modern acoustical features have been incorporated. · A new stage tower provides an orchestra pit and fully functional stage area with modern technical and fly space equipment. · The project added central heat and air conditioning throughout the building and its 47-room music practice wing. |
