Replace (6) 30,000 CFM Total Energy Recover Wheels
Location: Norman, Oklahoma
Owner: The University of Oklahoma
Mechanical Contractor: Matherly Mechanical Contractors Inc.
Project Data:
This project consisted of removing (6) 12’-0” x 12’-0” x 2’-0” Energy Recovery Wheels that were originally installed in the early 1980s and install (6) new Semco Total Energy Recovery Wheels with 3 Å Molecular Sieve Desiccant Coating and new DDC control system. These wheels had to be changed out without shutting down the building air handling systems for a prolong time period. This was achieved by isolating each wheel section, and steam pre- heat coil with a custom designed blank off panel system.
